The team at Lines Bannister have been given the opportunity to volunteer every Wednesday morning for The Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic. It provides the most advanced radiotherapy cancer treatment available – and in a community setting.
The clinic officially opened on 31st May 2011 and is the first of its kind in the country, providing the local community top class cancer care, which includes chemotherapy and patients that require regular kidney dialysis – usually three times a week. This clinic means that patients do not have to travel to hospital to have treatment.
Funeral Co-ordinator Sylvia Chambers is delighted to be one of the many volunteers that assist the patients at the clinic, and feels that it has been very rewarding.
